Local Support Partners Program

The Local Support Partners Program (LSP) is a partnership between ISS and computing professionals serving departments (local support partners) throughout the University. Through high-level access to ISS resources and services, and regular liaison activities, Local Support Partners are provided with important tools to help them be more successful in their departmental computing roles.

Mission

ISS's LSP Program endeavors to deliver expanded and highly responsive University-wide systems support services to alleviate the expected growth in user support services that will accompany the Millennium Project.

Overview

With the implementation of the Millennium Project and associated ISS enhancements, GW sits at a crossroad in technical service delivery. The improved and expanded use of technology in University departments increases the demand for highly reliable and expanded end-user systems support. The goal of the LSP Program is to harness existing resources with University departments by forming partnerships, creating a web of empowered systems users.

How the Departmental Computing Support Program Works

ISS works with each University department to assess current technical support resources. Departments with existing local support are being surveyed and invited to join the LSP Program. This program allows University faculty and staff responsible for systems support direct access to ISS personnel and resources.
